CLIMATE SMART COMMODITIES

The Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing in climate-smart practice implementation across its programmatic offerings. Climate Smart Commodities projects range in scope to build and expand market opportunities for operations that implement climate-smart production practices on working lands to build soil health, sequester carbon and enhance productivity and commodity marketability.

A project, in partnership with Farm Journal Foundation, Ecosystem Services Market Consortium, & The Yield Lab Institute, to enhance access to grazing resources and create sustainable pathways into climate-smart beef markets.

BUILDING RESILIENCY

A collaborative pilot project, in partnership with USDA Risk Management Agency, to recruit, train and increase the representation of minority insurance agents and loss adjusters working within their own communities.
