Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to IAC’s Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the long-term financial health of the organization. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Officers, and the Board of Directors to create and implement financial policies, procedures and practices, to ensure that IAC has strategies and systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The CFO performs strategic planning and continually audits the effectiveness of financial strategies to meet the needs of the organization.





Chief Advancement Officer

Reporting to IAC’s Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Advancement Officer will lead the efforts and be responsible for resourcing the organization with sustainable sources of support through corporate, individual, and foundation funding and/or state or federal contracts. Their role includes overseeing advancement activities and ensuring effective strategies, feedback loops, and systems are in place to meet the present and future needs of the organization. In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer and other Officers, the CAO leads the creation and implementation of a development strategy and auditing protocol. Using a comprehensive approach to strategic planning and continual audits, the CAO will measure and grow the effectiveness of advancement strategies to meet the needs of the organization.

About the Organization

The Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) promotes the use of agricultural resources for the benefit of Indian People. Programmatic offerings have expanded over nearly four decades to include legal and policy development, USDA technical assistance, natural resources management, domestic and international marketing support, and Native youth in food and agriculture leadership development. Informed by the trade routes and food systems that existed on this continent before colonization, IAC seeks to address systemic inequities to better serve Native producers and Indian Country as a whole.
