About the event
Join the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) at the Great Plains Regional Summit, an event designed to strengthen Tribal food systems in the region and improve access to vital resources that support Indian agriculture and food sovereignty.
Tailored for Tribes and individual Tribal farmers, ranchers, fishers, food gatherers, and entrepreneurs, this summit offers a collaborative space to explore emerging market opportunities, exchange knowledge, and cultivate partnerships. Attendees will take part in two days of interactive learning sessions designed to support the growth of Tribal agriculture and food systems. Sessions will cover natural resource conservation, meat and poultry processing support, virtual fencing, succession planning (including wills and record keeping for Tribal and trust land), and Cattle & Bison immunization and health updates. Expert speakers will highlight current developments in agriculture and provide updates and resources from several USDA agencies serving Indian Country.
