About the event
Join the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians for a day in the field in Southwest Oregon! The Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians host the First Foods Soil Day. It will include the NRCS Rainfall Simulator, hands-on demonstrations that highlight soil health, an overview of the NRCS USDA programs, and information on being good stewards.
Please be prepared; we encourage attendees to bring a water bottle, a cap or hat, and sunscreen.
