Call for Proposals - Submit a Session Proposal for IAC's 2026 Annual Conference

The Intertribal Agriculture Council invites proposals for breakout sessions, panel discussions, workshops, producer showcases, demonstrations, and interactive learning experiences for the 2026 IAC Annual Conference.


We believe some of the best learning comes from one another. We invite presenters to share practical experiences, innovative ideas, and culturally grounded approaches that strengthen Tribal agriculture, food systems, natural resources, and economic opportunity. Our goal is for every attendee to leave inspired, equipped with new tools, and connected to others working toward stronger Tribal communities.


PROPOSAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate practical value for attendees

  • Highlight Tribal innovation and leadership

  • Include interactive discussion or audience engagement

  • Present measurable outcomes or lessons learned

  • Offer replicable models for other Tribal communities

  • Reflect technical expertise


PROPOSAL TYPES

  • Educational presentations

  • Interactive workshops

  • Panel discussions

  • Producer case studies

  • Roundtable discussions

  • Hands-on demonstrations

  • Tribal Nation success stories

  • Research-to-practice presentations


We welcome proposals from Tribal producers, Tribal Nations, Native-owned businesses, collaborative partnerships, and others with relevant experience, expertise, or perspectives applicable to agriculture and related fields.




SPEAKER BENEFITS: Accepted speakers will receive complimentary registration to the 2026 IAC Annual Conference for their participation in the conference program.


TRAVEL ASSISTANCE: Limited travel support may be available to speakers whose proposals are selected for the 2026 IAC Annual Conference agenda. Speakers who need financial assistance to attend the conference are encouraged to apply for travel support by September 10, 2026.


If awarded, travel assistance will be provided as a stipend to help offset eligible travel expenses associated with attending the conference. Funding is limited and not guaranteed. Awards will be determined based on available funding, IAC criteria, conference priorities, and program needs.


Applicants who request travel assistance will be notified of funding decisions by October 15, 2026, to allow time to make travel arrangements.
