Right of Way Across Indian Lands: The Basics of What Landowners Need to Know

There are roughly eight distinct steps in the federal rights-of-way process in Indian Country, two of which are usually of primary concern for landowners trying to protect their interests. ILTF has assembled some helpful resources to provide landowners with basic information on the topics of Consent and Valuation, and help landowners to exercise their power in managing their Indian lands during the rights-of-way process.

Rights-of-Way Town Hall

ILTF will host a one-hour online Town Hall on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 6 p.m. Central Daylight Time where you'll be able to hear from experts on the valuation of Indian lands. Landowners will have an opportunity to ask questions to better understand how it works and how they can benefit from land ownership. The Town Hall is free but participants will need to register in advance.
