Across Indian Country, Tribal producers are proving the power of regenerative practices. On the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, April Martin of TP Ranch blends traditional ecological knowledge with regenerative approaches, such as rotational grazing, soil sampling, and cover cropping, to restore native grasslands and strengthen her herd. On the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, Thad Rose of Rose Ranch uses adaptive grazing and native grasses to rebuild soil fertility and enhance water retention.

These producers are part of a growing movement led by the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) and Environmental Defense Fund to assess the financial impact of conservation practices on grazing operations. Through hands-on technical assistance, IAC is helping producers turn stewardship into measurable environmental and economic outcomes.
Yet, many ranchers still face challenges, including limited infrastructure, scarce financing, and steep costs associated with adopting new practices. Your support can change that. When you give to IAC, you help Tribal producers access resources that invest in regenerative agriculture, provide business-building guidance, and gain tools to grow their success from this generation to the next.
"I hope my work shows my daughters the importance of caring for the land and how all parts of the ecosystem—from grasses to livestock—are connected." —April Martin, TP Ranch
