Join the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) as we celebrate a pivotal year full of growth and opportunity for Native producers and food systems in Indian Country. The IAC Annual Conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, December 12 – 14, 2023, at the beautiful Palms Casino Resort owned and operated by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
IAC's Annual Conference is for Tribal leaders, ranchers, farmers, producers, traditional food practitioners, youth and young professionals, and American Indian/Alaskan Native agribusiness owners and entrepreneurs seeking new markets or export expansion, plus USDA and other IAC partners. The three-day event offers solutions to collectively address historical and contemporary challenges in Indian agriculture to increase economic opportunities for Tribal communities nationwide.
If you are passionate about revitalizing food systems and regenerating economies in Indian country, this is the place for you.
This year's Native Foods Luncheon will feature a menu designed by Crystal Wahpepah, owner of Wahpepah's Kitchen in Oakland, California. Crystal Wahpepah is an enrolled member of the Kickapoo nation of Oklahoma. Born and raised on Ohlone land in California, Crystal is part of a tight-knit Intertribal urban Native community.
"I feel deeply honored and excited to be chosen and included in this year’s IAC annual conference."
Wahpepah's Kitchen is crafted on the reciprocal practices of mindfully choosing Indigenous food sources to support food sovereignty and a reclamation of ancestral knowledge in Native and Indigenous communities. In IAC’s partnership with the Palms, ingredients for this year's Native Foods Luncheon menu will be sourced from IAC's network of Native producers nationwide.
