Regeneration & the Tribal Producers Leading the Way

Regeneration in Indian Country has always been inherent to Native ways of life, not limited to the narrow set of practices often used to define regenerative agriculture. Every day, our staff sees how producers are guided by a responsibility to steward the land and to pass down traditional knowledge from ancestors to the next generation.

At the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC), we believe that Tribal producers are leading the way with regenerative agriculture. Through championing their work, Tribal producers working alongside our staff can revitalize the entire farm ecosystem.

Your generosity expands access to resources that help Tribal producers succeed. Donate now to support regenerative practices, strengthen businesses, and advance stewardship.

From Stewardship to Impact

Through technical assistance, partnerships, and producer-focused programming, IAC helps Tribal producers:

  • Navigate and access resources that support sustainable operational growth

  • Identify financing and credit solutions on an individual basis for long-term viability

  • Understand domestic and international marketing cost-benefit analyses for strategic decision making

  • Scale regenerative management across more acres of Tribal lands

While restoring ecosystems, this work builds sustainable operations for Tribes and Tribal producers. April Martin connected with IAC to access valuable tools, including soil testing, financial planning resources, and USDA technical assistance, which have helped her make informed decisions on land management and operational costs for TP Ranch on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation.

“Challenges that I faced with some of this was, for me, just to sit down and do, like, the book work. It helped me see ways that the ranch might be more effective. I could find different areas where I was making money by looking at my finances differently, rather than just the bottom dollar.” —April Martin, TP Ranch

Despite proven success, many Tribal producers still face challenges like limited infrastructure, scarce access to capital, and rising costs that make change risky.

“I wanted to do some rotational grazing in some pretty specific areas, and just the cost of solar fencing operation was more than I could afford at the moment.”—April Martin, TP Ranch

Your year-end gift helps remove those barriers.

When you give to IAC, you are investing directly in the people stewarding the land. Support solutions that honor tradition, strengthen livelihoods, and carry regeneration forward.

We invite you to stand with producers scaling regenerative agriculture across Indian Country. Here’s to a New Year grounded in hope, shaped by opportunities for people, and committed to revitalizing the land!
